COLLEGE OF HORTICULTURE AND FORESTRY, PASIGHAT
A walk-in interview of eligible Indian citizens for two Agro-Associates (contractual positions) and Field Managers (contractual positions), required under a collaborative project entitled “Mobile Based Agro Advisory Services (m4agri) in Arunachal Pradesh (ARIK ABIK LUNOM)”, funded by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, GOI in collaboration with Central Agricultural University, Imphal, Manipur and Digital India Corporation (DIC), New Delhi. The eligible candidates may appear for a walk-in interview (offline) before the selection committee at College of Horticulture and Forestry, CAU (I), Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh 791102 on given date and time for respective positions.
Vacancy
Agro Associate: 02 Posts.
Field Manager: 01 Post.

Salary
Agro Associate: Rs. 31,500/- per month.
Field Manager: Rs. 20,000/- per month.
Eligibility Criteria
Agro Associate:
Essential:
Master’s degree in any discipline of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry/ Master’s degree in any discipline of Fisheries.
Desirable:
1. Proficiency in speaking, writing and reading of local language/dialect(Adi/ Galo/ English/ Hindi)
2. Working experience with the farmers, working knowledge in computer, communication skill and proficiency in data entry, datamanagement and report writing.
Job profile:
1. Field survey and farmers information needs assessment in the targeted districts of Arunachal.
2. Content generation and preparing regular farmer advisory messages.
3. Translation of the content into respective local dialects.
4. Preparing voice/ image/ text messages for mobile based agro advisory services and maintaining data base.
5. Communication skill and subject knowledge to provide advisory services to the farmers through mobile phone.
6. Regular field visits and report writing.
Field Manager:
Essential:
B.Sc (Horti/Agril.), B.V.Sc and B.F.Sc.
Desirable:
1. Proficiency of speaking, writing and reading of local language/dialect (Adi/ Galo/ English/ Hindi)
2. Working knowledge in computer, experience with the farmers, data collection, data entry and data management.
Job profile:
1. Activity facilitator on site (Awareness Camps, Training, Field Day etc.)
2. Daily market information survey of primary and Secondary markets at Arunachal Pradesh.
3. Coordinating and helping field coordinators at the villages to register the farmers.
Age Limit
Agro Associate: 25-45 Years (Relaxation as per GOI rules).
Field Manager: 21-30 Years (Relaxation as per GOI rules).
Interview Schedule
Agro Associate: 30th March 2022 at 10.30 AM.
Field Manager: 30th March 2022 at 11.30 AM.
Terms & Conditions
1. The positions are purely temporary, contractual, co-terminus with the project & may be terminated at any time.
2. The appointment to the selected candidates will be initially for 6 (six) months, which is likely to be extended based on performance appraisal.
3. Selected candidate will NOT be entitled for any claim for regular appointment/absorption in this College or in CAU (Imphal) in future.
4. For SC/ST/OBC candidate age limit is as per the Govt. of India norms. Such candidates claiming relaxation in age should produce the caste certificate from the Competent Authority.
5. The candidates should bring the application in the prescribed format along with 2 passport size photographs, original certificates regarding qualifications, experience, attested photo copies of the certificates and NOC from the last employer (if already employed) during the time of interview.
6. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates appearing for the walk-in-interview.
7. The Competent authority reserves the right to fill up or not to fill up any or all these contractual positions and also to increase or decrease the number of posts without assigning reasons. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate.
