Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board Forester, Forest Guard, Fireman Gr/C, Mineral Guard Examination 2021 Syllabus (Advt. No.: 09/ 2020 and File No. APSSB/ADVT-78/2020 Dated: 21/01/2020).

Scheme Of Examination

The examination/ test will be of 02 (two) Stages.

Stage-I

Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

1. Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) shall be carried out at the designated recruitment centre which will be intimated through call letter and APSSB website. List of accepted/rejected candidates and date & time for PST/PET will be uploaded in APSSB website at www.apssb.nic.in.

2. PET and PST will be of qualifying nature only.

3. Candidates will have to qualify in the PST and PET to be able to appear for subsequent stages.

Stage-II

Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions: (300 Marks, 3 Hours)

GENERAL ENGLISH: (100 Marks)

In addition to testing of candidate's understanding and comprehension of the English Language, questions on its Vocabulary, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms and its correct usage etc would also be covered.

ELEMENTARY MATHEMATICS: (100 Marks)

The test of Arithmetical and Numerical Abilities will cover number systems including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Data Interpretations, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit and Loss, Discount, Simple and Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time And Work, Time and Distance, Tables and Graphs etc.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE: (100 Marks)

Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidates General Knowledge of the environment around him/her and its application to society. The questions will be designed to test knowledge of Current Events and of such matter of everyday observation as may be expected of an educated person. The Test will also include questions relating to History, Polity, Constitution, Sports, Art and Culture, Geography, Economics, Everyday Science, Scientific Research, National/ International Organizations/ Institutions etc. State specific questions may also be asked.

Note:

1. Each question shall carry 02 (two) marks.

2. There will be a negative marking of 1/4 for incorrect answer (i.e. 1/4 of 2 = 0.5 marks).

3. A candidate must secure a minimum of 33% or more marks in each subject in the written examination paper and must secure 45% of marks out of aggregate total marks in the written examination paper. In other words selection in third stage will be based on the aggregate total marks secured in the written examination paper. The candidate securing less than 33% of marks in any of the subject shall be deemed not eligible.

4. The final merit shall be prepared on the basis of marks secured in stage 2 only.

Note: Chest measurement is common for APST & Non-APST.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Note: The vacancies published are provisional and liable to vary. In case the vacancy position is reduced to any number or even withdrawn by the user department, the Board is not liable to compensate the applicant for any consequential damage/ loss.
