Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board Multi Tasking Staff Written Examination Syllabus.
Written Examination Syllabus
The candidates will have to appear in written examination/ test to be conducted by the board.
Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions 300 Marks: The test will comprise of the following subjects:

General English (50 Questions, 100 Marks) | In addition to testing of candidate's understanding and comprehension of the English Language, questions on its Vocabulary, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms and its correct usage etc would also be covered. |
Elementary Mathematics (50 Questions, 100 Marks) | The test of Arithmetical and Numerical Abilities will cover number systems including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Data Interpretations, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit and Loss, Discount, Simple and Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time And Work, Time and Distance, Tables and Graphs etc. |
General Knowledge (50 Questions, 100 Marks) | Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidates General Knowledge of the environment around him/her and its application to society. The questions will be designed to test knowledge of Current Events and of such matter of everyday observation as may be expected of an educated person. The Test will also include questions relating to History, Polity, Constitution, Sports, Art and Culture, Geography, Economics, Everyday Science, Scientific Research, National/International Organizations/Institutions etc. State specific questions may also be asked. |
Note
1. A candidate must secure a minimum of 33% or more marks in each subject in the written examination paper and must secure 45% of marks out of aggregate total marks in the written examination paper. In other words selection will be based in the aggregates total marks secured in the written examination paper
2. The Test will be of Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions comprising of 150 questions as mentioned above. Each question will carry 02 (two) marks. The candidate will have to complete the test in 03 (three) hours. There will be a negative marking of 1/4 for incorrect answer (i.e. 1/4 of 2 = 0.5 marks).
3. Final Merit will be based on total marks obtained in written examination only.
